DEEP

Ethiopian opal holds a universe of light.
Its flashes evoke an ever-changing energy.
Each glance reveals a new depth.
Nothing stands still; beauty transforms.
DEEP: embracing constant change.

Care and preservation of the piece

If Ethiopian opal is immersed in water, its hydrophane nature means it can absorb the water and temporarily lose its iridescence until it dries completely. This physical phenomenon reinforces its symbolic connection to constant change.
